Abstract
This study
designs learning activities supported by a cellular learning system for
students to develop speaking skills in English as a foreign language
(EFL). How students can speak English
well will be discussed. In addition, how
they practice speaking skills related to students' language skills is also
explored. It was found that elementary
school students had poor learning during learning activities; thus, students will be guided more to
practice speaking skills in English while learning in class. The results show how students' practice skills
in speaking skills have different correlations depending on their level of proficiency. For example, diversity of speech, defined as
the number of other classmates who talk with peers, was found to have an
inverse correlation with listening ability.
This journal does not support that grammar skills are more needed by
elementary school students when learning.
It was further found that the better the students practiced their
speaking skills in learning English, the fewer students could not speak
English. EFL instructors can use the
insights of this journal to design student learning activities especially their
speaking skills in English

Speaking skill is the ability to speak in English
that is practiced with the speaker when communicating. This will be easy to
learn if you are in an environment with English as the main language when
speaking everyday. To make it easier when speaking English, children must be
heard more often or be shown films of children speaking English. A teacher can
guide him when they learn to speak English with his friend and help him when he
does not know how to pronounce it properly. Children often have wrong grammar
but that doesn't matter because they don't really understand the correct
grammar so when speaking often the sentences are not well ordered.
In learning
speaking skills, children can be given learning models of conversation with
fellow peers and then practice them in front of the class. Communicative
competence, the ability and readiness to communicate (speaking and listening
comprehension) is thus formed.
The purpose
of this article is to determine the strengths and weaknesses of students'
current speaking skills in Indonesia and to show the possibility of increasing
the speaking skills of students learning English in primary schools. Learning
English using new methods in education encourages students to learn languages,
develop their ability to speak fluently, and help them overcome language
barriers and give them new vocabulary.
DISCUSSION
In primary school
education, students are more interested in learning rather than writing. When
they are learning English a lot of talking is like a conversation between
friends and practice it so that they more quickly understand English itself. So
students are more active in learning English and do not feel bored while
studying. Teachers can also provide games such as English sentences so that
their listening and pronunciation are trained. In primary school

effective communication skills, students must learn to:
1. Communicate and share information using digital media and Communicate to
support personal and group learning.
2. Speak English more often to friends or parents as much as possible.
3. A lot of listening and watching movies children use English with the
guidance of parents
CONCLUSION
Speaking skills are basic skills when communicating with others or friends
and family. English language skills are easier to learn by elementary school
children than grammar. Elementary school students prefer to listen and speak
English directly when studying because they have limited vocabulary. They have
not been able to understand grammar because the discussion for grammar is
deeper and makes a headache when learning it. When elementary school children
are more active in learning to talk and listen to themselves using digital
media or talking directly with their peers. A teacher must also accompany and
guide them when learning takes place to help students when they do not have
vocabulary and can ask their teacher. By learning English from elementary school
children, they finally get the ability to speak English since they are children
and in middle school they will be able to learn English at different levels in
elementary school.
